Tezgam Express Derails In Lodhran Leaving At Least Twenty Five Injured

A serious railway accident occurred near Adam Wahan in the Lodhran district of Punjab when four bogies of the Tezgam Express suddenly went off the tracks. The derailment caused immediate panic among the passengers and resulted in twenty-five injuries.

Local emergency teams and district authorities reached the site shortly after the crash to begin rescue operations. The Deputy Commissioner confirmed that seventeen of the injured passengers were discharged after receiving necessary first aid for their minor physical wounds.

However, the medical situation remains grave for eight other passengers currently being treated at the District Headquarter Hospital. Doctors have described their condition as critical, and they are receiving specialized intensive care to stabilize their health after the impact.

Following the initial investigation and track clearance, the Station Master reported that the Tezgam Express eventually continued its journey. The train was permitted to depart toward Karachi with its remaining five operational carriages after the damaged sections were removed.

The accident has caused significant disruptions to the national railway schedule, particularly for those traveling toward the south. All Karachi-bound trains on the down track have been temporarily halted at Lodhran station to ensure the safety of all passengers.

Railway engineers are now working urgently to repair the damaged tracks and restore the normal flow of traffic. Investigations are also underway to determine whether the derailment was caused by a technical fault in the bogies or track issues.
