Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar left Manila for Kyrgyzstan after attending the 33rd ASEAN Regional Forum. He will lead Pakistan’s delegation at the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Council of Foreign Ministers’ meeting. The visit highlights Pakistan’s active role in regional diplomacy.

The Foreign Office said Dar will attend the SCO foreign ministers’ meeting in Cholpon-Ata on July 23 and 24. Foreign ministers from SCO member states will discuss regional security, economic cooperation and international issues. Pakistan will also present its views on key regional developments.

Dar will hold bilateral meetings with several foreign ministers during the visit. He will discuss regional cooperation, trade, connectivity and other matters of mutual interest. The meetings aim to strengthen Pakistan’s diplomatic ties with SCO member countries.

Before leaving Manila, Dar thanked the Government of the Philippines and the ASEAN Regional Forum for their warm hospitality. He praised the successful arrangements for the forum and appreciated the support extended during his visit.

The Ishaq Dar SCO meeting demonstrates Pakistan’s commitment to regional cooperation through dialogue and diplomacy. The visit will help strengthen Pakistan’s role in the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation and deepen ties with regional partners.
