Fahad Mustafa and Mehwish Hayat Go Into Survival Mode for Zombeid Film

Blood, Grit, and Survival: Fahad Mustafa and Mehwish Hayat in “Zombeid Film”

The powerhouse duo that brought you Load Wedding and Actor in Law is back, but this time, the stakes are life or death. The Zombeid film marks a historic first for the industry as director Nabeel Qureshi and producer Fizza Ali Meerza dive headfirst into the horror-slasher genre.

Recently, Fahad Mustafa sent fans into a frenzy by dropping the first official look at the project. Moving away from his usual charming leads, Mustafa is going into a dark, gritty survival mode for this high-octane story.

A Haunting First Look

The teaser for the Zombeid film sets a chilling tone right from the start. For example, the visuals swap vibrant dance numbers for grimy concrete floors and blood-soaked personal items.

Key details from the initial reveal include:

  • The Clues: Blood-stained headphones and shattered mobile phones hint at a terrifying viral outbreak.
  • The Atmosphere: The teaser culminates with decayed hands clawing into the frame accompanied by a terrifying, guttural growl.
  • The Tagline: “This Eid: Sacrifice or Survive?”

The casting of Fahad Mustafa and Mehwish Hayat brings immense star power to this experimental genre. Furthermore, this is their first collaboration in eight years, and the industry is already buzzing with blockbuster predictions.

Producer Fizza Ali Meerza and Nabeel Qureshi are known for their fast-paced commercial hits. Consequently, by choosing the Zombeid film project as their eighth venture, they are challenging the traditional boundaries of Pakistani cinema.

“Excited for a new kind of Pakistani movie! Fahad is carrying the industry on his shoulders,” remarked one fan following the Instagram announcement.

Fans won’t have to wait long for the full experience. In addition to the poster, the production has confirmed the following timeline:

  • Teaser Release: April 11, 2026.
  • Official Premiere: Slated for Eid-ul-Azha 2026.

Horror has often been a niche or low-budget market in Pakistan. However, this production changes that narrative by bringing A-list talent and high-end values to an apocalyptic setting. Therefore, it promises a blend of slasher intensity and the grounded storytelling that Filmwala Pictures is famous for.

With the Zombeid film project, 2026 is shaping up to be Fahad Mustafa’s biggest year yet. Besides this horror flick, he also has the major release Aag Lagay Basti Mein on the horizon.

Are you ready to see Mehwish and Fahad face the apocalypse? Let us know if you’ll be watching this Eid!
