In the second eliminator of Pakistan Super League season 11 at Gaddafi Stadium, Hyderabad Kings defeated Islamabad United by two runs. The match remained tense until the final over. Hyderabad posted 186 for 5 in 20 overs. In reply, Islamabad finished on 184 for 7 while chasing 187.

Hyderabad fast bowler Hanan Shah defended six runs in the last over and sent his team into the final. After the match, Shadab praised the bowler’s effort. He said Hanan had been fighting injury for a long time. Therefore, he added that the bowler deserved the success and recognition he received.

Meanwhile, Shadab admitted that Islamabad needed better execution in the closing overs. He said the team’s death bowling required improvement. The Islamabad captain also reflected on his own performance. He said he did not produce the hitting his team needed.
