The market spoke, and Samsung listened. Samsung boosts production of its most popular S26 models after initial demand trends differed from expectations. The company originally planned to produce 2.4 million units in April. That included 800,000 Galaxy S26 units, 300,000 Galaxy S26 Plus units, and 1.3 million Galaxy S26 Ultra units. The revised figures now tell a different story.
Samsung will produce 1.3 million standard Galaxy S26 units, up from 800,000. The Galaxy S26 Ultra gets a slight bump to 1.5 million units. But the Galaxy S26 Plus takes a big hit. Production dropped from 300,000 to just 200,000 units. The report suggests the standard S26 is performing better than expected. The Ultra is also seeing slightly stronger demand. In contrast, the Plus model is selling below expectations.
To support higher output, Samsung increased component orders in March. Industry sources attribute the Ultra’s higher production share partly to its Privacy Display feature. That feature appears to attract more buyers. Samsung boosts production of most popular S26 models while also adjusting mid range targets. The Galaxy A57 production plan dropped to 1.6 million units from 1.8 million. The Galaxy A17 fell to 3.9 million units from 4.4 million. For now, Samsung boosts production of most popular S26 models to match what customers actually want.
