Addressing the nation on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that the government has decided to absorb the rising costs of international oil to protect citizens from further inflation.
The Prime Minister extended heartfelt Eid greetings to the people, noting that true celebration lies in sharing joys with the underprivileged. He stressed that national unity is essential during these challenging times.
He highlighted that the ongoing conflict in the Middle East has severely impacted the global economy. Attacks on energy infrastructure in brotherly countries have further complicated the supply of essential petroleum products.
Despite a summary suggesting a significant price hike, the Premier maintained current rates to ease the public’s burden. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to stabilizing the economy through strategic and timely interventions.
