Peshawar Zalmi beats Karachi Kings

Peshawar Zalmi maintained their unbeaten run in PSL 11 on Wednesday. The team secured their eighth straight victory with a seven-wicket win over Karachi Kings at the Gaddafi Stadium. Chasing 183, Zalmi reached the target in 18.5 overs for the loss of just three wickets. This means Peshawar Zalmi beats Karachi Kings comfortably. Kusal Mendis and Farhan Yousaf powered the chase with blistering knocks.

The chase began confidently as James Vince and skipper Babar Azam provided a solid foundation. Hasan Ali broke the 37-run opening stand by removing Vince for 16 off 10 balls. Abbas Afridi then dismissed Babar for 25 off 19 deliveries, leaving the side at 45-2. Mendis anchored the innings and brought up his fourth PSL half-century. Peshawar Zalmi beats Karachi Kings thanks to a composed 50-run partnership between Mendis and Yousaf after a brief stumble at 95-3.

Yousaf shifted gears at the right moment. He struck boundaries at will as Zalmi comfortably crossed the 150-run mark. He sealed the victory with a boundary to bring up his maiden PSL half-century. Farhan Yousaf remained unbeaten on 54 off 35 balls, hitting four fours and three sixes. Kusal Mendis top-scored with a superb 80 off 43 deliveries, including five fours and four sixes. Peshawar Zalmi beats Karachi Kings with 7.1 overs to spare.

Batting first, Kings scored 182-9 in their 20 overs. Jason Roy smashed 85 off 51 deliveries with 11 fours and two sixes. Azam Khan added 35 off 19 balls. Ali Raza completed a hat-trick for Zalmi on the final delivery of the innings.
