Israel Completes Main Strikes on Iran – April 2026 Update

Israel has officially declared that it has completed its primary military strikes on Iran. The Israeli military announced that it has largely achieved the core targets it set when the conflict began on February 28, 2026. The country is now shifting its focus toward economic targets to increase pressure on the Iranian regime.

According to the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and senior political leadership, the operation has entered its “completion phase.” Israel claims the strikes have significantly weakened Iran’s military capabilities, missile production, air defense systems, and nuclear program, while also creating conditions that could lead to internal instability in Iran.

Major Targets Hit by US-Israel Strikes on Iran (Feb–April 2026)

Here is a list of the key targets struck during the 2026 Iran conflict:

1. Leadership & Regime Targets (Decapitation Strikes)

  • Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei’s residence and compound in Tehran (Khamenei reportedly killed on February 28)
  • Sa’dabad Presidential Complex
  • Supreme National Security Council headquarters
  • Thar-Allah Headquarters (IRGC internal security)
  • Multiple senior IRGC commanders, Defense Minister, and intelligence officials

2. Nuclear Program Facilities

  • Natanz Nuclear Enrichment Facility
  • Arak (Khondab) Heavy Water Complex
  • Ardakan (Yazd) Uranium Processing Plant
  • Several underground nuclear-related sites

3. Missile & Ballistic Program

  • Ballistic missile production sites in central Tehran
  • Missile launchers and storage facilities in western Iran
  • Hundreds of missile infrastructure targets

4. Air Defense & Military Infrastructure

  • Over 200 air defense systems across Iran
  • IRGC naval bases and command centers
  • Multiple military bases and weapon depots (estimated 2,000–11,000 strikes across 17 provinces)

5. Economic & Infrastructure Targets (Recent Phase)

  • Major steel plants (Khuzestan Steel and Mobarakeh Steel in Isfahan)
  • Oil facilities including Tehran Refinery, Aghdasieh, Shahran, and Karaj depots
  • Kharg Island Oil Export Terminal (handles 90% of Iran’s oil exports)
  • Power plants and petrochemical facilities

6. Other Notable Targets

  • Iran University of Science and Technology (satellite development facility)
  • Various regime-linked buildings in Tehran and other cities

These strikes were carried out as part of a sustained US-Israel air campaign, referred to by the US as Operation Epic Fury. While Israel states that its main military objectives are now complete, the conflict continues with increased focus on economic pressure against Iran.

The situation remains highly fluid. Further updates are expected as diplomatic efforts and ceasefire talks progress in the coming days.
