Pakistan Cricket Board PCB Grants NOCs to 4 Players for County Cricket & T20 Blast 2026

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued No-Objection Certificates (NOCs) to four players for overseas assignments in England during the 2026 season. This move allows them to gain valuable experience in English conditions

Players and Their Assignments

  • Sufiyan Muqeem, Mohammad Nawaz, and Usama Mir → Cleared for the Vitality T20 Blast 2026.
  • Mohammad Abbas → Approved for multiple county stints with Derbyshire.

Sufiyan Muqeem (Peshawar Zalmi in PSL) received a short NOC window from May 22 to June 7. Mohammad Nawaz (Multan Sultans) and Usama Mir (Lahore Qalandars) got longer periods, allowing them to participate in a bigger portion of the tournament.

Mohammad Abbas, the experienced pacer, received staggered NOCs covering April, May, June, and August to late September for red-ball county cricket with Derbyshire.

Key Highlights

  • Usama Mir already has Vitality Blast experience. He played for Worcestershire in 2023 and took 19 wickets in 11 matches at an economy of 7.29.

  • Nawaz and Sufiyan Muqeem will make their debut in the competition.

  • The 2026 Vitality T20 Blast runs from May 22 to July 18.

All four players are currently active in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL 11).

These NOCs help players sharpen their skills in international conditions. County cricket and the T20 Blast provide excellent exposure ahead of future national commitments. This balanced approach allows players to earn while staying in rhythm without compromising Pakistan’s domestic and international calendar.

Stay tuned for more updates on PSL 2026, player performances, and future Pakistan Cricket Board decisions regarding overseas leagues.
