The heart-wrenching incident occurred in the upscale Defense Housing Authority area of Lahore, specifically within Phase 5. Emergency services were alerted after thick smoke was seen billowing from the servant quarters of a private residential property.

Rescue officials confirmed that the victims were two young siblings who were trapped inside the quarters when the blaze erupted. Despite the rapid arrival of fire tenders, the intensity of the flames made a timely rescue impossible for the children.

The victims have been identified as five-year-old Saad and his three-year-old sister, Aliza. Their bodies were recovered by rescue personnel and have since been shifted to a local mortuary for necessary legal formalities following the tragic event.
