Xiaomi’s next foldable just broke cover. Live images allegedly show the Xiaomi Mix Fold 5, the company’s first true wide foldable. Therefore, the leak confirms what rumors have suggested for months—Xiaomi is finally copying Samsung’s approach with a wider display.
The leaked phone appears to be an engineering unit running HyperOS 4 based on Android 17. The software version starts with 4.0, matching Xiaomi’s typical major update naming pattern. Additionally, the device carries the codename “lhasa,” previously linked to Xiaomi’s foldable project. Meanwhile, some reports suggest this could also arrive as the Mix Fold 6 instead.
