Heavy rain swept across Punjab and killed six people after old house roofs collapsed. The Punjab heavy rain also flooded low-lying areas, slowed traffic, and disrupted daily life. Rescue teams and local authorities responded to several emergencies across the province.

WASA reported heavy rainfall in many parts of Lahore. Saggian received 143 mm of rain. Farrukh Abad recorded 141 mm, while Pani Wala Talab received 129 mm. Upper Mall got 106 mm, and Lakshmi Chowk recorded 94 mm.

Rainwater flooded Davis Road, Shadman, Shah Jamal, and the area near the Governor House Squash Complex. Traffic moved slowly because many roads remained underwater. Motorists faced delays throughout the city.

WASA teams immediately started drainage work. They cleared water from Lawrence Road, Chowk Nakhuda, Waris Road, Zafar Ali Road, Nabha Road, Karim Block, Ravi Road, Haji Camp, GPO Chowk, and several other locations. The operation restored traffic in many areas.

In Garhi Shahu Railway Colony, a roof collapsed and killed Moeen, his wife Noreen, and their daughter Fatima. Another daughter suffered injuries. On Bedian Road, another roof collapse injured Aslam, Ahsan, and Mumtaz Bibi.

A separate roof collapse near Milad Chowk on Ferozepur Road injured four more people. Rescue workers shifted all injured people to nearby hospitals. LESCO also restored power after rain temporarily affected 37 electricity feeders.

Heavy rain also caused a roof collapse in Kasur. The incident killed two people, including a child, and injured three others. Gujrat received 185 mm of rainfall, and floodwater entered many homes. Low-lying areas in Hafizabad also came under water, while low-level flooding continued at Trimmu Barrage on the Chenab River.

The Punjab heavy rain caused deaths, flooding, and property damage across several districts. Rescue teams continue relief work, while authorities monitor weather conditions and advise residents to remain alert.
