The coalition stated that the destroyed targets were connected to threats against commercial vessels in the Red Sea. It warned that military action would continue if Houthi attacks persist. Officials said the operation was intended to protect regional maritime security.
Earlier, Houthi-affiliated media claimed that Saudi forces had launched airstrikes on Al Hudaydah and Kamaran Island. The reports also alleged that several locations came under attack. However, these claims have not been independently verified.
The Houthi-run Al Masirah television channel reported that Saudi warplanes struck the coastal city of Al Hudaydah. Yemen’s state news agency also claimed that telecommunications facilities in the city were hit during the attacks. The coalition has not confirmed those specific claims.
The latest military action follows an incident a day earlier in which the Houthi movement, Ansar Allah, claimed responsibility for targeting two Saudi oil tankers. The group said the vessels had violated its declared naval blockade.
