Millions of Pakistani mobile users may be paying for services they never knowingly signed up for. The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority directed all cellular mobile operators to give consumers easier access to their Value Added Services information. Moreover, the initiative aims to protect subscribers from unnecessary charges quietly draining their data and credit.

The codes are simple and work immediately. Jazz and Zong subscribers dial *6611# to view and manage their active VAS subscriptions. Telenor users can dial *4444#, while Ufone customers use *6869# to access their subscription information. Furthermore, Jazz customers can also manage their VAS services transparently through the SIMOSA platform. Therefore, every major network now offers a direct way to see exactly what services are running on your number.

The PTA introduced the measure to strengthen consumer rights across Pakistan’s telecom sector. Furthermore, the regulator highlighted that forgotten or unwanted subscriptions are a common source of unexpected charges for mobile users. Therefore, regularly checking active services and deactivating unnecessary ones can prevent money from disappearing without the user’s knowledge.

VAS subscriptions often activate through accidental button presses, promotional messages, or third-party app interactions. Many users remain unaware these services are running until they notice unusual data consumption or reduced balance. Furthermore, some subscriptions auto-renew daily or weekly, compounding the financial drain over time.

The PTA reaffirmed its commitment to consumer-centric practices and said it will continue introducing measures to improve transparency and empower telecom users. Finally, with a single USSD dial, Pakistani mobile users can now take back control of what they are paying for — and stop paying for what they never wanted.
