A tentative schedule has been revealed for Pakistan’s home ODI series against Australia. The proposed plan includes a three-match series at Gaddafi Stadium. Consequently, Pakistan vs Australia ODI series will mark Australia’s first visit for a 50-over contest since 2022. On that previous occasion, Pakistan secured a 2 to 1 victory. The first match is expected on May 31. The second and third fixtures will follow on June 2 and June 4. The Pakistan Cricket Board will confirm the official schedule soon.
Australia has historically dominated the ODI head-to-head record. The visitors lead Pakistan 71 to 36 in 111 matches. Four matches ended without a result. Therefore, Pakistan vs Australia ODI series carries added significance for the home side. After completing their tour of Pakistan, Australia will travel to Bangladesh. They will play a full men’s white-ball series there in June 2026. That tour ends a 15-year gap between bilateral ODI series in Bangladesh.
Pakistan is also preparing for a key red-ball tour of Bangladesh. They will play a two-match Test series as part of the ICC World Test Championship. This marks their first Test assignment since hosting South Africa last October. That series ended in a 1 to 1 draw. The first Test is scheduled in Dhaka from May 8 to 12. The second Test will play at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium from May 16 to 20. Shan Masood will continue to lead the side.
Four uncapped players have received call-ups to the national squad. They are Abdullah Fazal, Amad Butt, Azan Awais, and Muhammad Ghazi Ghori. Later this year, Pakistan will also play Test series against England, Sri Lanka, and West Indies.
