Pakistan Crush Bangladesh by 128 Runs to Level ODI Series

Pakistan national cricket team bounced back strongly to level the three-match ODI series against Bangladesh national cricket team with a dominant 128-run victory (DLS method) in the second match after suffering a heavy defeat in the opener.

The star of the match was young all-rounder Maaz Sadaqat, who delivered a remarkable performance with both bat and ball. The youngster scored his maiden ODI half-century, smashing 75 runs off just 46 balls, including six fours and five sixes. He then made a strong impact with the ball as well, claiming three crucial wickets in a five-over spell while conceding only 23 runs. His all-round effort earned him the Player of the Match award.

After winning the toss, Bangladesh opted to field first, hoping to replicate their dominant performance from the opening ODI. However, Pakistan’s top order responded with aggressive intent from the start.

Maaz Sadaqat and Sahibzada Farhan provided a brisk opening partnership that gave Pakistan early momentum. The innings was later stabilized and accelerated by Mohammad Rizwan and Salman Ali Agha, helping Pakistan post a competitive total of 275 runs.

Agha’s innings ended in controversy when he was dismissed through a run-out at the non-striker’s end, sparking debate among fans about the spirit of the game. Despite the incident, Pakistan maintained their momentum and finished strongly with the bat.

While defending the target, Pakistan’s bowling attack dominated from the beginning. Captain Shaheen Shah Afridi struck early with two wickets, while Haris Rauf led the pace attack with three wickets. Faheem Ashraf and Wasim Jr added one wicket each, while Maaz Sadaqat completed the rout with his three scalps.

Bangladesh were eventually bowled out for 114 in 23.3 overs, giving Pakistan a commanding victory and leveling the ODI series ahead of the decisive final match.
