Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif will address a major election rally in Mirpur on Friday as political parties intensify campaigning ahead of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly elections on July 27. The gathering is expected to draw a large crowd of party workers and supporters from across the region.
The rally will take place at Quaid-e-Azam Stadium in Mirpur. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif will join Nawaz Sharif at the event. Several senior PML-N leaders from the party’s central and regional leadership will also attend the public gathering.
Organisers have completed most preparations for the rally. Workers finished the main stage and finalised security and logistical arrangements at the venue. Meanwhile, party supporters from different parts of Azad Kashmir have started arriving in Mirpur in large convoys to attend the event.
The rally forms part of the PML-N’s final campaign drive before polling day. Party leaders are using public meetings to present their election agenda and mobilise voters. The gathering is also expected to highlight the party’s plans for development and public welfare in Azad Kashmir.
Election activity has gathered momentum across the region as political parties enter the final phase of campaigning. Candidates continue to hold rallies, corner meetings and voter outreach programmes before campaigning ends. The AJK Legislative Assembly elections will take place on July 27, with voters set to elect representatives across the territory.
