The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tourism Authority has made registration mandatory for travel businesses across the province. The decision applies to every travel agent and touring company working in the region. According to an official notification, the authority will take legal action against businesses offering tourism services without registration.

Under the new directive, no individual or company can run tours, operate a travel agency, or provide tourism services without completing registration. Therefore, the process is no longer optional for anyone in the sector. The authority has told unregistered tour operators to complete registration immediately through the designated online system. Moreover, they must follow the prescribed procedure.

Officials said the move aims to improve the monitoring and regulation of tourism service providers across the province. Businesses that keep operating without registration will face legal action under the relevant laws. Therefore, tour operators that ignore the notice risk real consequences.

The authority has also advised tourists and the general public to avoid unregistered operators and agents. Meanwhile, it has urged people to report any illegal operator or travel agent to the relevant authorities. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa draws visitors to its mountains, valleys and historic sites every year. Furthermore, clear rules for travel businesses matter to both visitors and the local economy.

Tourism plays a major role in the province, so oversight of service providers carries real weight. Instead of leaving the sector unchecked, the authority now wants every provider on record. Registration also helps officials track who is offering tours to visitors.

Registered businesses come under official monitoring, which should give customers more confidence. Travellers should also ask any company for proof of registration before paying for a trip. Consequently, tourists gain a simple way to separate legitimate businesses from doubtful ones.

Travellers who follow this advice can plan trips with fewer worries. Additionally, businesses that have not registered should act quickly to avoid trouble. Finally, anyone who spots an unregistered business should report it.
