Arslan Ash Esports World Cup qualification confirmed after a top-three finish at DreamHack Atlanta’s Tekken 8 qualifier

Pakistan’s greatest Tekken player is heading to Riyadh. Arslan Ash secured his place at the Esports World Cup 2026 after finishing third at Road to EWC: DreamHack Atlanta. The qualifier ran from May 15 to 17 and offered three spots for the Esports World Cup. Arslan Ash claimed one of them alongside Mulgold and Keisuke. Moreover, the Arslan Ash Esports World Cup qualification makes him the sixth Pakistani player to book a place at the prestigious tournament.

The Esports World Cup 2026 takes place in Riyadh from July 6 to August 23. It is one of the largest and most lucrative esports events in the world. Therefore, Arslan’s qualification is not just a personal milestone. It also strengthens Pakistan’s growing reputation in the global competitive gaming scene.

Arslan Ash’s journey to this point is remarkable. Originally from Lahore, he started playing Tekken at the age of eight in local gaming arcades. He first gained international recognition in 2019 after winning the Tekken 7 title in Japan. Since then, he has built one of the most decorated careers in fighting game history. Furthermore, ESPN named him the Best Esports Player of 2019, a recognition that put Pakistani esports on the global map.

His trophy cabinet continues to grow. Earlier in August, Arslan won his sixth EVO title at EVO 2025 in Las Vegas, defeating fellow Pakistani player Atif Butt in the Tekken 8 Grand Final. He also holds victories at CEO 2021, Combo Breaker 2022, and EVO Japan 2023. Additionally, he claimed his fifth EVO title in July 2024 before adding the sixth just months later.

Widely regarded as one of the greatest Tekken players of all time, Arslan Ash keeps raising the bar. Finally, in Riyadh this summer, he will get another chance to remind the world exactly why Pakistan produces champions.
