The Board of Secondary Education Karachi has released its 2026 Secondary School Certificate results. The Karachi Board matric results announcement on Tuesday made BSEK the first education board in Sindh to release the SSC Part II Class X General Group results for both regular and private candidates.

Female students dominated the top positions in this year’s examinations. Tooba Fatima of Hifaz Girls Secondary School in North Nazimabad secured first place with 90.27 percent. Amina Asad of Lycee Bahadurabad School finished second with 87.82 percent. Additionally, Safia Munawar, also from Hifaz Girls Secondary School, placed third with 87.73 percent. Therefore, the top three positions all went to female students this year.

BSEK reported substantial participation in the examination process. A total of 15,446 students registered for the examinations. Of those, 14,749 appeared for their exams. Meanwhile, 697 students remained absent from the examination halls. So the attendance rate was relatively high overall.

BSEK Chairman Prof. Musharraf Ali Rajput said the board announced the Karachi Board matric results on schedule. He credited this achievement to the efforts of its teachers and staff. Moreover, he reaffirmed the board’s commitment to ensuring transparency throughout the examination and result compilation process. Therefore, officials view punctuality and transparency as key institutional strengths.

Controller of Examinations Ahmed Khan Chhutto announced the results under the chairman’s directives. The chairman also said the board has started the computerized assessment of e-marked answer scripts for the SSC Part I Class IX annual examinations. Additionally, this suggests the board is maintaining momentum across multiple examination cycles. So preparation for next year’s results is already underway.

The release of results marks a significant milestone in the academic calendar for Karachi students. Schools can now plan their promotional activities and student placements accordingly. Furthermore, students receive confirmation of their academic standing and can pursue further education options. So the timely announcement benefits all stakeholders in the educational ecosystem.

Female student dominance in top positions reflects broader trends in Pakistani education. Girls consistently demonstrate strong academic performance when given equal access to quality education. Therefore, these results inspire confidence in expanding educational opportunities for female learners. Moreover, the achievement highlights the importance of investing in girls’ education at all levels.

The board’s commitment to computerizing the assessment process modernizes examination management. Digital systems reduce errors and increase transparency in result compilation. Additionally, computerization allows faster processing of large volumes of answer scripts. So the investment in technology serves both efficiency and accuracy goals.

Other Sindh education boards will announce their results in coming days. Therefore, students and educators across the province should watch for upcoming announcements. The staggered release of results allows education authorities time to address any technical or administrative issues that arise during compilation. Finally, Karachi Board’s early release sets a positive precedent for timely result announcements across Sindh province.
