Fakhar Zaman sets PSL records

Lahore Qalandars needed a must-win game against Quetta Gladiators. Fakhar Zaman delivered something unforgettable. The left-hander smashed 103 off just 51 balls, hitting 11 fours and six sixes. Lahore posted 197 for 6 in their 20 overs. With this innings, Fakhar Zaman sets PSL records that place him among the league’s elite. He joined Usman Khan, Kamran Akmal, Rilee Rossouw, and Babar Azam as batters with three PSL centuries.

The Gaddafi Stadium crowd witnessed another piece of history. Fakhar Zaman sets PSL records by becoming the first batter to score 1,000 runs at the Lahore venue. Babar Azam follows in second place with 784 runs. Fakhar now sits second on the all-time PSL runs chart with 3,246 runs in 103 matches. He also has 25 fifties and three centuries to his name. His strike rate remains an explosive 143.43.

The innings showed Fakhar’s value at the top of the order. He controlled the tempo early and accelerated sharply through the middle overs. Charith Asalanka chipped in with 31 off 24 balls. Daniel Sams added 18 off 12 late in the innings. But Fakhar’s knock defined Lahore’s total. Quetta had no answer to his clean hitting.
