Russia Withdraws More Staff From Iran Nuclear Plant Despite Ceasefire

Russia withdraws more staff from Iran nuclear plant despite ceasefire, signaling ongoing concern over regional stability. The decision focuses on the Bushehr facility, Iran’s only operational nuclear plant. Although a ceasefire has been announced, Moscow continues to act cautiously. As a result, the move reflects persistent uncertainty about security conditions.

According to Russia’s state nuclear company chief, the decision to pull out additional personnel remains unchanged. He explained that conditions on the ground still raise concerns. Furthermore, he noted that while the ceasefire has eased tensions slightly, the situation has not improved enough. Therefore, officials believe it is too early to send staff back.

Meanwhile, Arab media reports highlight that Bushehr is Iran’s only functional nuclear power plant. Russia originally built the facility and deployed its own experts there. In addition, the plant plays a key role in Iran’s energy infrastructure. Consequently, any change in staffing levels draws international attention and scrutiny.

Earlier, Russia evacuated 611 personnel from the Bushehr plant through Armenia. However, around 50 staff members still remain at the site. In conclusion, Russia withdraws more staff from Iran nuclear plant despite ceasefire, underlining continued caution despite signs of reduced tensions.
