The HBL Pakistan Super League 11 continues to deliver high-octane excitement as Multan Sultans maintained their perfect winning streak. Sahibzada Farhan was the undisputed star of the night, leading his team to a dominant win against a struggling Hyderabad side.
Earlier in the evening, the Hyderabad Kingsmen won the toss and elected to bat first, making two key strategic changes to their lineup. Sharjeel Khan and Mohammad Ali were brought in to provide more firepower and balance to the starting eleven.
Hyderabad’s batters put on a spectacular show, posting a formidable total of 225 runs on the scoreboard. Maaz Sadaqat played a blistering knock of 62 runs off just 26 balls, while Sharjeel Khan remained unbeaten with a solid half-century during his return.
In response, Multan Sultans chased the mountain-like target with remarkable composure and aggression. Sahibzada Farhan anchored the innings brilliantly, scoring an incredible 106 runs off 57 deliveries to ensure his team reached the finish line with an over to spare.
Farhan received excellent support from international star Steve Smith, who contributed 46 runs, and captain Shan Masood. Arafat Minhas also played a crucial cameo at the end, remaining not out with 26 runs to seal the impressive six-wicket victory for Multan.
This result marks the third consecutive defeat for Hyderabad Kingsmen in the tournament, raising concerns about their playoff chances. Meanwhile, Multan Sultans sit comfortably at the top of the table after winning both of their opening matches with great style.
