The Qatari Ministry of Defense confirmed that the aircraft went down in territorial waters following a sudden technical failure. While the helicopter was on a standard duty, it lost control and crashed into the Persian Gulf.

Among the six deceased are three Qatari military members and three Turkish nationals. The Turkish Ministry of Defense verified that one of its soldiers and two technical personnel from Aselsan were on board the ill-fated flight.

Rescue teams from the Ministry of Interior were immediately deployed to the site to conduct search operations. Despite intensive efforts, officials confirmed that the crash resulted in multiple casualties, while one person remains reported as missing.

This tragic accident occurred amid heightened regional tensions, as Qatar has recently faced various drone and missile threats. However, authorities have clarified that there is currently no evidence linking this crash to any hostile military action.
