Great Wall Motor showcased its latest pickup trucks, the Poer P300 and Poer P500, at the Pakistan Auto Parts Show. Both plug-in hybrid electric vehicle pickups combine off-road capability, premium interiors and modern technology. GWM displayed them as it prepares for their potential launch in Pakistan.
GWM Poer P300 PHEV: A Rugged Hybrid Pickup
The GWM Poer P300 targets buyers who need utility, off-road capability and everyday practicality. It features a bold exterior with a high bonnet, black front grille, painted bumpers, crystal LED headlights, integrated daytime running lights and LED fog lamps. Additionally, the pickup includes large wheel arch cladding for extra protection during off-road use.
It rides on 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tyres and uses a front double-wishbone suspension setup. The cargo bed features a scratch-resistant and waterproof liner, along with a damper-assisted tailgate. Furthermore, an additional bed cover with dedicated dampers rounds out the utility features.
Built on a ladder-frame chassis, the Poer P300 uses rear leaf-spring suspension. It also offers a towing capacity of up to 3,500 kg, giving it solid hauling credentials.
Interior and Technology
Inside, the Poer P300 features a dark-themed cabin with soft-touch materials across key areas. The pickup comes with a 12-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system. This system supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and a 360-degree camera system.
The cabin also includes an aviation-style gear selector alongside physical controls for four-wheel-drive modes. Other controls cover the rear differential lock, drive modes and an electronic parking brake. Meanwhile, comfort features include dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, powered driver seat adjustment, paddle shifters and a sunroof.
GWM Poer P500 PHEV: A Luxury Pickup Truck
The GWM Poer P500 takes a more premium approach, borrowing design inspiration from the GWM Tank 500 SUV. Compared with the P300, the P500 features a more refined exterior with body-coloured panels and a chrome-accented grille. It also carries satin silver window surrounds and Tank 500-inspired LED headlights.
The P500 comes with 18-inch wheels, red brake calipers and a 540-degree surround-view camera system. Instead of the P300’s leaf springs, it uses a rear coilover suspension setup designed for a more SUV-like ride. The pickup also features a split tailgate that can open conventionally or horizontally from the centre.
Premium Interior Inspired by Tank 500
The P500 cabin features an executive-style layout with wood-inspired trim and soft-touch leather surfaces. Ambient lighting adds to the premium feel throughout the cabin. Perforated leather seats come standard, while the second row offers heated and ventilated seats along with a Boss Seat adjustment function. Dedicated rear air-conditioning vents further enhance rear-seat comfort.
The pickup also includes a premium Infinity sound system and a panoramic sunroof. Therefore, the P500 positions itself closer to a luxury SUV experience than a standard work truck.

Launch Status and Availability
GWM displayed the Poer P300 and Poer P500 at the Pakistan Auto Parts Show to showcase its upcoming product lineup. The company used the event to evaluate consumer response ahead of a potential rollout. Still, GWM has not announced official pricing yet. Finally, the company confirmed that local launches of both PHEV pickup trucks are planned for Pakistan.
