Kuwait Confirms Four Sailors Injured in Iranian Attack

Iranian attack

Kuwait has confirmed that an Iranian attack on Kuwaiti naval ship injured four military personnel. The attack took place on Tuesday, according to the Kuwaiti armed forces. All four sailors received medical treatment soon after the incident. Officials said their condition is stable. The attack has increased security concerns across the Gulf region.

The Kuwaiti military said it intercepted one ballistic missile, four cruise missiles, and 33 drones during the attack. Officials explained that the incoming weapons were aimed at important military locations and civilian facilities. Air defense systems successfully stopped the threats before they reached their targets.

The military also said that debris from the destroyed missiles and drones fell in different areas. The falling debris caused property damage at several locations. However, officials did not report additional injuries from the debris. Emergency teams responded quickly to secure the affected areas.

Kuwaiti authorities confirmed that the injured naval personnel received immediate medical care. They said all four service members remain in stable condition. The military added that it continues to monitor the situation closely. Security forces remain on high alert to deal with any new threats.

Earlier, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, also known as the IRGC, announced that it had targeted what it described as enemy weapons storage sites in Bahrain and Kuwait. The group said the operation was carried out in response to recent American military action against Iran.

The IRGC also claimed that it targeted a drone launch site at Kuwait’s Ali Al Salem Air Base. It said the strikes inside Kuwait were a direct response to US attacks on Iranian targets. Kuwait has not confirmed those specific claims made by the IRGC.

In another statement, the IRGC said that oil and gas exports would not leave the region while American military operations continued. It also claimed that recent US actions would delay the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. The statement added to concerns about rising tensions in the Middle East.

The Iranian attack on Kuwaiti naval ship has become another major development in the growing regional conflict. Kuwait has confirmed the injuries, the missile interceptions, and the drone attacks. The situation remains tense as military forces continue to monitor the region. The Iranian attack on Kuwaiti naval ship has also raised fresh concerns about regional security and the safety of international shipping.
