Smart traffic signals Karachi project received official approval on Saturday. Mayor Murtaza Wahab chaired a meeting of the Karachi Traffic Management Company. Karachi Commissioner Syed Hassan Naqvi attended the session. Transport Secretary Asad Zamin and Municipal Commissioner Abrar Jaffar also joined. DIG Traffic Pir Muhammad Shah participated in the discussions. The group reviewed multiple proposals and agreed to move forward.

Authorities also approved a plan to convert M.A. Jinnah Road into a smart road. The city allocated Rs. 20 million for that specific project. The mayor said improving traffic management could resolve several urban issues. Work will cover both road infrastructure and signal systems.
