Pakistan Navy rescued seven crew members from a distressed offshore vessel in the Arabian Sea. The team included six Indian nationals and one Indonesian citizen. Consequently, Pakistan Navy rescues 6 Indian sailors after receiving an emergency alert through the Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre in Mumbai. The vessel, identified as MV Gautam, suffered a serious technical fault while travelling from Oman to India. The fault left the ship stranded at sea.

Following the distress call, Pakistan Navy moved quickly to respond. The force deployed PMSA Ship Kashmir for the rescue operation. Therefore, Pakistan Navy rescues 6 Indian sailors and provides food, medical support, and technical assistance to the stranded crew. The rescue team helped restore essential systems and ensured the crew’s safety. The military said the operation reflected Pakistan Navy’s commitment to maritime safety and humanitarian responsibilities in regional waters. Nationality does not matter when lives are at risk.

The latest rescue is part of a series of similar operations carried out by Pakistan Navy in recent years. The force has rescued many stranded merchant ships and fishing vessels. Earlier in April, Pakistan Navy also rescued and evacuated 18 crew members from a merchant vessel in the North Arabian Sea. That crew included nationals from China, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Vietnam, and Indonesia. They later came to Karachi for medical treatment and repatriation.

Pakistan Navy once again demonstrating its professional capabilities. The operation underscores that humanitarian instincts transcend political tensions between the two nations.
