MG4 EV Urban Pakistan details surface online ahead of an official launch with a leaked price of Rs. 69.99 lacs

MG Pakistan may be about to make electric cars more accessible. The MG4 EV Urban is expected to join the company’s local EV lineup soon, and unofficial details are already circulating online. Multiple automotive pages claim the MG4 EV Urban Pakistan variant will carry a 43kWh battery pack with a WLTP driving range of 316 kilometres. Furthermore, leaked posts suggest a price of around Rs. 69.99 lacs, with a booking amount of approximately Rs. 12 lacs.

The performance figures also appear in the leaks. The electric hatchback reportedly produces 148 horsepower and 250Nm of torque. Those numbers position it firmly in city-car territory rather than performance driving. Moreover, that appears to be exactly the point MG is trying to make with this variant.

The Urban differs meaningfully from the existing MG4 EV. The current model uses a rear-wheel drive layout and targets performance-oriented buyers. The Urban, however, switches to a front-wheel drive setup. It also uses a smaller battery pack. Together, these changes improve everyday practicality and bring down ownership costs for city commuters. Therefore, MG appears to target a different and potentially larger segment of Pakistani buyers with this new model.
