The Benazir Taleemi Wazaif Program offers quarterly cash support to students — here is exactly how to apply and what you need
The Government of Pakistan is helping low-income families keep their children in school. Under the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif Program, quarterly education stipends go directly to children of registered BISP Kafalat beneficiaries. The goal is straightforward — reduce dropout rates and promote enrollment across Pakistan. Moreover, girls receive higher stipend amounts than boys, with additional bonuses built in to encourage them to stay in school longer.
Who Is Eligible?
To qualify for the program, the following conditions must all be met:
- The mother must be a registered and active beneficiary of the BISP Kafalat Program
- The child must hold a valid NADRA B-Form or CRC
- The child must fall within the required age limit for their education level

Attendance Requirement
Children enrolled in the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif Program must maintain a minimum attendance of 70 percent at their school or college. Furthermore, students who fall below this threshold may lose their stipend until attendance improves. Therefore, regular school attendance is not just encouraged — it is required.
Stipend Amounts
Boys and girls receive different quarterly stipend amounts based on their education level:
| Education Level | Boys | Girls |
|---|---|---|
| Primary — Class 1 to 5 | Rs. 2,500 | Rs. 3,000 |
| Secondary — Class 6 to 10 | Rs. 3,500 | Rs. 4,000 |
| Higher Secondary — Class 11 to 12 | Rs. 4,500 | Rs. 5,000 |
Additional Bonus for Girls
Girls who successfully complete primary education receive a one-time graduation bonus of Rs. 3,000. This additional incentive aims to encourage families to keep their daughters in school beyond the primary level. Finally, combined with the higher quarterly stipends, the program makes a strong financial case for investing in girls’ education across Pakistan.
