The Met office has issued a Pakistan monsoon rainfall forecast for the coming week. Moist currents from the Arabian Sea are continuously penetrating the upper parts of the country. Additionally, moist currents from the Bay of Bengal are expected to enter northeastern parts starting this evening. Furthermore, a westerly wave is likely to approach upper parts within 12 hours. A seasonal low lies over north-west Balochistan. Therefore, multiple weather systems will influence rainfall patterns simultaneously.

Kashmir Region

Scattered rain windstorms and thundershowers with isolated heavy falls are expected in several areas. Neelum valley, Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, Poonch, Hattian, Bagh, Haveli, Sudhanoti, Kotli, Bhimber, and Mirpur will experience this weather. The rainfall window extends from 6th night to 8th July with occasional gaps. Therefore, residents should prepare for significant precipitation during this period.

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa

The Pakistan monsoon rainfall forecast shows scattered rain across northern and central KP. Dir, Chitral, Swat, Kohistan, Malakand, Nowshera, Charsadda, Karak, Tank, Lakki Marwat, Swabi, Shangla, Battagram, Buner, Kohat, Kurram, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Peshawar, Mardan, and Hangu will receive rain from 6th night to 8th July. Meanwhile, Waziristan, Bannu, and Dera Ismail Khan will experience rainfall on 7th and 8th July. Weather will have occasional gaps allowing brief dry periods.

Punjab and Islamabad

Scattered rain windstorms and thundershowers with isolated heavy falls will affect multiple districts. Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Galliyat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Faisalabad, Khushab, Sargodha, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Sahiwal, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Nankana Sahib, Chiniot, Okara, and Kasur will see rain from 6th evening to 8th July. Additionally, Noor Pur Thal, Bhakkar, Mianwali, Layyah, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, D.G. Khan, Multan, Khanewal, Lodhran, Muzaffargarh, Kot Addu, Rahim Yar Khan, and Rajanpur will experience rainfall on 7th and 8th July.

Gilgit-Baltistan

Rain windstorms and thunderstorms will impact mountainous areas. Diamir, Astore, Ghizer, Skardu, Hunza, Gilgit, Ghanche, and Shigar will receive precipitation on 7th and 8th July with occasional gaps.

Balochistan and Sindh

Isolated rain windstorms and thundershowers are expected in north and northeastern Balochistan. Zhob, Sherani, Kohlu, Musakhel, Naseerabad, Harnai, Sibbi, Barkhan, Dera Bugti, and Khuzdar will see rain on 7th night and 8th July. Meanwhile, Sindh will experience mainly hot and very humid weather. However, isolated rain windstorms may occur in Tharparkar, Sukkur, Shikarpur, Larkana, Dadu, Jacobabad, Shaheed Benazirabad, Qambar Shahdadkot, and Naushahro Feroze on 7th and 8th July.
