The economy-class-only approach signals a deliberate focus on volume. Railways authorities appear to be prioritising regular travellers who rely on affordable options during the festive rush. Still, three trains across the entire country is a limited operation by any measure.

The reason for that limitation is straightforward. Sources say the number of special trains remains low due to the unavailability of a power plant, creating an operational constraint the department cannot immediately overcome. Therefore, passengers hoping for a wider range of options may find themselves disappointed.
