China’s AVIC Chengdu Aircraft Company posted record profit in 2025. The manufacturer nearly doubled its first-quarter sales after last year’s India-Pakistan war. Consequently, sales of J-10C jets manufacturer surged as global interest grew. Revenue rose 15.8 percent to 75.4 billion yuan or 11 billion dollars in 2025. Net profit increased 6.5 percent to 3.4 billion yuan. Both figures represent the highest on record for the Chengdu-based manufacturer. First-quarter sales climbed nearly 80 percent from a year earlier.

Pakistan praised the performance of its J-10 fighter jets and JF-17 Thunder aircraft during the May 2025 clash. The J-10 saw combat in real battlefield conditions for the first time. Pakistan claimed it shot down multiple Indian aircraft, including French-made Rafale jets. Therefore, sales of J-10C jets manufacturer received a significant boost from this combat validation. Indonesia has signaled interest in the J-10. Iraq, Bangladesh, and Indonesia have shown interest in the JF-17 as well.

AVIC Chengdu said its stronger performance was supported by an asset reorganization. The reorganization now includes its jet-making business. The company stated that expanding arms exports remains a priority. In February, it signed an agreement with the city of Chengdu to expand aerospace production capacity. Sales of J-10C jets manufacturer also benefited from growing demand from developing countries. Many nations seek advanced but affordable fighter aircraft.

Another major Chinese military aircraft maker, AVIC Shenyang Aircraft Company, also performed well. It reported 2025 sales of 44.7 billion yuan and profit of 3.5 billion yuan, up 3.7 percent. That company produces the fifth-generation J-35 fighter. A new factory will begin mass production this year. Both AVIC Chengdu and AVIC Shenyang remain under US sanctions.
