The latest “Physician Survey on Augmented Intelligence” shows that AI usage has more than doubled from 38% just three years ago. Doctors now typically use AI for over two professional tasks daily.
Most medical professionals utilize these tools for clinical documentation and summarizing complex research papers. Around 70% of surveyed doctors believe that AI is a vital solution to the growing national burnout epidemic.
While 75% of physicians believe AI improves patient care, significant concerns regarding data privacy remain. Nearly 88% of doctors worry that over-reliance on technology might eventually lead to a decline in human skills.
Physicians maintain that patients should not interpret their own medical images using AI without expert guidance. Most professionals insist on maintaining human control over all critical AI-driven decisions within their medical facilities.
