Government Rejects Claims of Disruption to Pakistan’s Hajj Flights

The government of Pakistan has rejected reports circulating in some sections of the media claiming that the country’s Hajj flight operations could be affected by the current situation in the Middle East.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Pakistan clarified that these reports are incorrect and said preparations for Hajj 2026 are continuing according to the planned schedule.

A spokesperson for the ministry stated that no decision has been taken to suspend or delay flights carrying Pakistani pilgrims. The spokesperson also described attempts to link regional tensions with Pakistan’s Hajj arrangements as misleading.

According to the ministry, the process of issuing visas for intending pilgrims is currently underway, while logistical and administrative arrangements for the pilgrimage are progressing normally.

Officials also confirmed that the detailed Hajj flight schedule will be announced after Eid ul Fitr. Once the schedule is released, pilgrims will be informed about their flight details as well as accommodation arrangements in Makkah and Madinah.

The ministry advised intending pilgrims to rely only on official announcements and avoid believing unverified information circulating on social media or in unofficial reports.

Earlier, private Hajj operators were instructed to complete visa processing for Hajj 2026 by March 15, ahead of the final deadline of March 20 set by Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.
