Shadab Khan hit his first ODI century, an unbeaten 113, to give Pakistan a one-wicket win over England at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Sunday, October 25, 2026. The win sends Pakistan into the ODI tri-series final, which will be played at the same ground on October 31.

Pakistan reached the target of 242 in the 48th over with nine wickets down. Shadab Khan made 113 off 96 balls, with 13 fours and five sixes. Haris Rauf hit the winning runs.

Early wickets, then a slump

England’s bowlers struck early. Gus Atkinson dismissed Fakhar Zaman in the fifth over, and debutant Henry Crocombe removed Saim Ayub. Atkinson then bowled Babar Azam, leaving Pakistan at 31-3 after 6.5 overs.

Saad Baig scored 32 off 22 balls and added 43 with Salman Ali Agha. But Jamie Overton and Liam Dawson kept taking wickets. Pakistan were 103-6 after 23.1 overs and still needed 139 runs.

Shadab Khan’s unbeaten 113

Shaheen Shah Afridi fell for four. Debutant Razaullah then helped Pakistan past 150 before Will Jacks dismissed him, which left nine wickets down.

Shadab Khan reached his sixth ODI fifty and took Pakistan past 200 in a 50-run stand. He kept his nerve to reach his century and finish unbeaten.

Duckett’s century in vain

England had also needed a rescue. Shaheen Shah Afridi dismissed Tom Banton and Joe Root early, and Razaullah ran out captain Harry Brook with a direct hit. England were 11-3.

Ben Duckett scored 105 off 111 balls, his fifth ODI century. He added 93 for the fifth wicket with Sam Curran, who made 42. Arafat Minhas ended Duckett’s innings. Atkinson finished unbeaten on 36 off 28 balls.

Shaheen Shah Afridi took 4-46. Razaullah and Arafat Minhas took two wickets each, and Haris Rauf took one.

Final set for October 31

This was Pakistan’s third win in three matches. They beat Sri Lanka by 37 runs on October 18 and England by 87 runs on October 20. In that game England were 91-0 chasing 303 but collapsed to 215 all out, and Arafat Minhas took 6-40.
