PM Shehbaz promotes Gen Aamer Raza to Four-Star General

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday promoted Lieutenant General Aamer Raza to the rank of Four-Star General and appointed him Commander of the National Strategic Command. The decision marks an important development in Pakistan’s military leadership and reflects the government’s confidence in his professional experience and service.

The Prime Minister’s Office announced the promotion in an official statement issued in Islamabad. Before his elevation, Aamer Raza served as the Pakistan Army’s Chief of the General Staff. During his military career, he held several senior command and staff appointments and gained extensive operational and strategic experience. His new role places him among the country’s top military leaders.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated the newly promoted general on reaching the rank of Four-Star General. He praised his dedication, discipline and commitment to national service.
