The Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued a detailed Karachi weather forecast drizzle advisory for the next 24 hours. Officials predict humid weather and partly cloudy skies throughout the period. Additionally, officials expect drizzle in some areas during the morning and night hours.

According to the PMD, Karachi’s maximum temperature will range between 34°C and 36°C. The minimum temperature dropped to 29°C. Humidity reached 78 percent, and sea breezes continued to blow at around 15 kilometers per hour. Therefore, residents can expect some relief from the intense heat during wind patterns.

In contrast, officials expect Peshawar to experience clear skies and intense heat. Temperatures in the northern city will likely climb to 41°C. The minimum temperature in the city dropped to 26°C, with humidity at 43 percent. So residents there should prepare for dangerous heat conditions.

The PMD also forecast rain in most upper districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the next 24 hours. Meanwhile, hot and dry conditions will continue across the province’s plains. So rainfall will concentrate in mountainous areas rather than spreading across lower elevations.

In its monthly outlook, the weather department warned that above-normal temperatures will likely persist across Pakistan. Southern regions including Sindh, central Punjab, and eastern Balochistan face the greatest risk. Furthermore, the PMD expects near-normal to slightly below-normal rainfall during June. Therefore, prolonged heatwave conditions pose a genuine concern for the coming weeks.
