The Punjab government has decided to take strict action against people who dump animal waste and remains on roads, in drains, or at other public places during Eid ul Adha. The government has announced a hefty Rs 50,000 fine for dumping animal waste along with legal action. Consequently, Punjab announces Rs 50,000 fine for dumping animal waste as part of a province wide cleanliness drive.

Local Government Secretary Shakeel Ahmad Mian discussed the decision during a visit to the Suthra Punjab Authority headquarters. He chaired a review meeting on Eid cleanliness arrangements alongside Director General Babar Sahib Din. Managing directors of district level Suthra Punjab agencies from across the province attended the meeting through video link. Special instructions were issued for the Eid cleaning operation during this session.

Officials received directions to prepare a separate and comprehensive sanitation plan for each tehsil. The secretary also ordered the deployment of additional staff and machinery to ensure timely waste collection and disposal during the Eid holidays. Authorities must complete fitness checks of all waste collection points, dumpers, and machinery before Eid. Therefore, Punjab announces Rs 50,000 fine for dumping animal waste to deter violators and keep the province clean.

Special cleanliness plans have also been ordered for mosques, Eidgahs, and cattle markets where public activity will remain high. A central control room equipped with modern technology has already been set up to monitor the province wide sanitation operation. Suthra Punjab teams will remain active in the field continuously for 72 hours during the Eid period. The local government secretary said emergency response teams and backup machinery would remain on alert in every tehsil. He added that no negligence would receive tolerance in the Eid ul Adha cleanliness operation.
