Protecting Privacy: The New Karachi Board Abaya Policy

The Karachi Board abaya policy now strictly protects the dignity of female students during exams. Board Chairman Ghulam Hussain Sohoo issued this order after parents filed several complaints. He noticed that some staff members forced students to remove their hijabs for security checks. Consequently, the board now forbids any invasive checking of religious or cultural attire. This change ensures that students can focus on their papers with complete peace of mind.

Female Staff to Lead Inspections The new rules change how centres manage security. From now on, only female staff members will conduct inspections at girls’ centres. Furthermore, the Karachi Board abaya policy prevents male invigilators from entering these private areas. This step creates a much safer and more comfortable environment for all candidates. By using only female staff, the board maintains security without compromising student modesty.

Zero Tolerance for Violations Chairman Sohoo warned all 530 exam centres about these strict guidelines. He stated that any centre ignoring these rules will face immediate disciplinary action. In addition, the board confirmed that female centres show excellent discipline and no cheating. Therefore, invasive checks are both unnecessary and disrespectful. The board aims to support students rather than causing them extra stress during the matric exams.
